Why you should become a member.

Are you a resident or ratepayer in the vibrant community of Umbilo and its surroundings?

Are you tired of crime and grime? Are you worried about criminals when your children walk to and from school, or concerned about fence-hoppers? Have you had enough of trucks on Hillier Rd, overgrown parks and broken sidewalks?

If your answer is Yes, you are not alone.

Umbilo’s most successful community project – The Umbilo CCTV Initiative has been directly funded by this community. By becoming a member of USA or making any donation, you will directly contribute to the growth and sustainability of our camera network.

Furthermore, we will use funds to support our volunteer first responders, to fund street clean-ups, parks, test the quality of our Umbilo River and to even adopt parks.

USA is working with the Umbilo Community Policing Forum and our very own UCCA Neighbourhood Watch. UCCA has dedicated volunteer first responders who fight crime every day in order to keep residents safe. We salute them.

Let’s make Umbilo safe for our children and elderly. We have a duty to protect our vulnerable.

Let’s make Umbilo the greatest hidden gem in all of Durban.
