The Umbilo South Association (USA) is the fundraising and administrative arm of the Umbilo community watch known as UCCA and a partner of the Umbilo Sector 3 Community Policing Forum.
It is a registered non-profit company.
What does the Umbilo South Association do?
The work we do includes the continued role out of our successful CCTV programme, the adoption of parks and other green spaces, cleaning and greening as well as other important community work.
How are the funds managed?
A registered non-profit company, all donations received by the Umbilo South Association will be audited and accounted for and the financial statements will be made available to members. All committee members work on a voluntary basis.
We do not have a Section 18A Tax Status however through our partnership with the Community Action Network, 10% of your donation to us can be claimed back from SARS. Speak to us to find out more
How do I become a member of USA?
Anyone who lives in Umbilo or owns property in the area, is eligible to be a member. All we request is a minimum monthly donation of R30. The donations will be used to help finance our community projects. See the link below.

Who is leading the Umbilo South Association?
The USA currently has three interim committee members namely Gavin Wilcocks who leads the local community watch, Maria Calitz who sits on the Umbilo Sector 3 CPF committee and Jonathan Erasmus, the secretary of the Umbilo Community Policing Forum.
In the next few months an AGM will be called and a new committee will be elected. Anyone can stand to be voted as a committee member provided, they are paid up monthly members in good standing and live and/or own property in the area.
What area does the USA cover?
Currently the boundary mirrors the Umbilo Sector 3 CPF precinct which includes all areas south of Rick Turner, east of Bellair Rd, north of Solomon Mahlangu and west of South Coast rd.
